Here, in my Gallery, you will find rustic and traditional themes captured as illustrations using modern tools of technology. Instead of rendering my free hand drawings with a pencil, pen, or brush, I use a computer mouse. I create my sketches not on a blank sheet of paper, but on a blank page in MS Word. True, coloring can be done with a click of a mouse, but if I wish to add dimension to my drawings, I have to rely on my awareness of light and shadow as well as depth in order to make my drawings more than a flat and characterless image. What may appear as a simple image in a finished drawing is actually layers and layers of many small shapes drawn strategically to bring my images to life. Some pieces are embellished in Photoshop. The finished work is then saved in my files, printed only on demand and not as a mass printing project. Because it is artwork, the quality and life of each art print are important. I use only the finest acid free pigments on archival paper to produce each piece. I have both limited and open editions. Limited editions are numbered and only a few are editions of 250; more likely are editions of 10, 25, 50, or 100, based on the theme.
